My high school is offering a 5th year of high school where you can earn your Associate's Degree just by taking college courses for free during you...

Much of my teaching career has been at the two-year college level, so I can state from that viewpoint that advanced credit can be more economical in time and money.  In many cases, I would encourage taking the advanced credits if you are ready for the rigor of the classes.

But there are things you need to consider.  First, are you ready for the rigor of the advanced classes -- academically and otherwise?  It seems that you are, but college should be an entirely different mindset from earlier schooling.

Next, will the college you hope to attend accept your advanced credits?  Some will; some will not.  However, even if your college doesn't, having the coursework behind you sooner may help, even if you must take the courses your college requires, but there is also the risk of boredom.

Also, consider what you want to study.  You don't want to get too far ahead of yourself if you're planning to go into some fields of study.  You absolutely do not, for instance, want to be student teaching too early and hardly be older than some of the students.

So my answer is yes, go for the advanced classes, but be sure you understand all that these classes -- and your college -- require.
