`a_1 = 5, d = -3/4` Write the first 5 terms of the arithmetic sequence.

`d=-3/4` is the common difference. This means that each next term is the previous term plus `d.`  Therefore the terms are

`a_1=5 (given),`

`a_2=a_1+d=5-3/4=20/4-3/4=17/4,`

`a_3=a_2+d=17/4-3/4=14/4=7/2,`

`a_4=a_3+d=14/4-3/4=11/4,`

`a_5=a_4+d=11/4-3/4=8/4=2.`
